Travel Resources
When you travel Australia you need access to some travel resources. Here are my favourites to help you live, work and play in Australia.
Please note: Some of these suggested resources are affiliates I have joined. I joined them because I use them myself to help my own travels. If you book and pay through one of these resources I receive a small commission at no cost to you. It helps me maintain this website/blog. Thanks in advance.

Accommodation
When I am looking to book a bed in a hostel or a family room when I travel with my family I turn to the HostelWorld booking site. Here I can compare hostels and book what suits my budget and travel plans.
When I want more than a bed in a hostel I look to book a small hotel room or suite. Particularly if I am travelling with my laptop and need to work. My go to booking site for hotel accommodation whether it be budget to luxury is Booking.com.

Travel Insurance
To be honest, I don’t always take out travel insurance. Because I live here I am covered by Medicare and I have private health insurance. If I am taking a flight somewhere I usually take out travel insurance to ensure if my luggage is lost or my laptop and other equipment is stolen I will take out a policy to cover me for the period I am away from home. My go to website to get a quote for travel insurance is WorldNomads.

Transport & Tours
Many people purchase or hire a car, van or caravan to travel in and around Australia. When I need to hire a car I head to the RentalCar website. Here I can see what types of vehicles are available and compare the pricing of different vehicles. I can also book my vehicle and choose my closest location to pick it up at.
If you are 18-35 years of age and are limited for time or don’t want to buy or rent your own vehicle then consider taking a Contiki Tour. A Contiki Tour has many advantages. A tour will include the cost of your transport, by bus, accommodation and most meals. The tour will also take you to the places you want to see. Check out Contiki’s Australian tours here.
